Founded in 2008 by Tammy Hall, Champlain Valley Canine Rescue is dedicated to saving the lives of animals in need.

Several times a year, we rescue dogs from Ohio puppy mills—dogs who have spent their lives breeding and are finally given the chance to receive veterinary care and experience the love of a forever home.

Throughout the year, we also rescue dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens from the southern United States. Some come directly from high-kill shelters, while others are saved by our southern rescue partners, who pull animals from shelters and foster them until they can join us in the north. Locally, we work to rehome pets whose owners can no longer care for them.

As a completely volunteer-based organization, we are deeply grateful for our dedicated foster families, as well as the volunteers who assist with transportation, grooming, and countless other tasks that make our work possible.

Thank you for your continued support!
